Surface texture and colour are fundamental to her artwork. The paintings are dynamic and engaging images. Optical and tactile characteristics have been created through the use of gesso, muslin, pigment, medium, gesture and brushstroke resulting in luminosity and three-dimensionality.
There is a deliberate sense of spirituality; of flow, movement and quiet, obscuring and revealing, heaviness and lightness, disquiet and resolution, within the images.
